R+D+i DEPARTMENT
WHAT DO WE DO?
The Research, Development and Innovation Department of Agrícola Llahuen, founded in 2016 and identified as LLAHUEN RESEARCH, was born out of the need for the work carried out by the after-sales technical department since 1971.
The production requirements presented over the years by our clients both nationally As export markets, they have made it possible to highlight a series of requirements identified as productive gaps, which generated the need to develop technical information for producers. The fundamental objective of this department is the material generation under the from "Applied Research for the commercial cultivation of strawberries". For this reason, the Llahuen Experimental Center was developed, a branch established in the Commune of Chanco, Maule Region, Chile.
Among the main objectives we can detail the following:
-Development and Evaluation of New Varieties.
-Establishment of Production Protocols for Commercial Varieties.
-Evaluation of nutritional requirements.
-Development of new cultivation techniques.
All these lines of research are developed based on the collection of information from Agrícola Llahuen's clients, allowing the needs of each production area to be identified.
The information generated by LLAHUEN RESEARCH is transferred to its clients through post-sale technical visits, field days held at the Chanco Experimental Center and the different publications that will be generated each season.
